Okay, so, a day of costuming, and results are mixed. Mom has been helping me and I’m happy to say, Nepeta’s coat is dyed, Aradia’s horns are done, Nepeta and Equius horns (for Epi) just need to be glued to hairbands, hat and tail are 98% done (need to sew on the eyes and nose), and Ms. Paint’s costume is 100% complete.
Still need to get Aradia socks, paint an Aradia shirt, and I’d like a better skirt than the one I have currently (same goes for Nepeta pants) but what I have will serve, if nothing better comes up.
But the armsocks…
After a handful of mistakes and false-starts and complete re-dos, Mom’s sewing machine craps out and ceases to function properly. No idea why! Just, thread stops working right. Long story short, we cut our losses once Mom was damn near in tears, and I still have to make the cussed things somehow without a sewing machine or much in the way of sense, apparently.
If anybody needs me, I’ll be trying to figure out who the patron saint of sewing is, and how I pissed them off.
